Scott Whitehouse recently joined C3 Integrated Solutions as a Senior Systems Consultant. He’ll be part of C3’s Projects Team with a focus on Microsoft Office 365 Engineering (Intune, EM+S, Compliance).
Scott comes to C3 after positions with a number of large companies where his duties ranged from providing end-user/Executive level support to managing an IT department with multi-million dollar annual budgets, and everything in between.
A native of Centreville, Scott now lives in Ashburn, Virginia with his wife and two children. We took a few minutes to chat with Scott so our C3 clients can learn a little more about him.
C3: What do you like best about your job?
Scott: My favorite part of my job is the freedom to find new ways to leverage technology. I’m not a fan of the status quo, so I am always looking for ways to do things better.
C3: What does your perfect day look like?
Scott: My perfect day at work starts with 0 GB cached RAM, that Windows Explorer never says “Unresponsive,” and that PowerShell is processing without error.
At home, my perfect day starts with a cup of coffee before the kids are awake and involves a fishing pole and a quiet body of water.
C3: What has been your biggest accomplishment so far?
Scott: My biggest professional accomplishment was architecting a new data center strategy which consolidated resources, added full disaster recovery, and reduced costs.
My biggest personal accomplishment is the raising of my children and is measured daily.
C3: What’s your guilty pleasure?
Scott: My guilty pleasure is ice cream. I have become a bit of an aficionado, especially towards soft serve ice cream. It’s not uncommon to find me on a cheat day at Gruto’s Soft Serve Ice Cream.
C3: What’s your philosophy toward work?
Scott: My philosophy is to work hard and treat others with respect and fairness.
C3: What are you good at?
Scott: I am good with my hands. I have a natural talent in building things and enjoy woodworking. My most recent project was an outdoor storage bench that I made out of wood.
C3: What do you hate to do?
Scott: Diet. Ice cream tastes too good.
C3: What’s your fondest memory from childhood?
Scott: One of my fondest childhood memories was sailing with my Dad on the Chesapeake Bay. We took his boat out of Annapolis and would go out for the weekend fishing and sailing.
Band/Musician: I don’t listen to a lot of music, and when I do I usually don’t know the artist or song title; when my kids get older, maybe they’ll help! If I had to pick a favorite musician, it would be Toby Keith.
TV Show: Deadliest Catch
Book: Rogue Warrior by Richard Marcinko
Movie: Band of Brothers – I know this is technically a mini-series but close enough!
Join the entire C3 staff in helping us welcome Scott to the team (and feel free to send him some ice cream!)
