C3 recently welcomed Maurice “Mo” Martin to the C3 team as part of the Product Services Team. Mo is a Licensing and Product Specialist, and brings over 20 years of extensive and diverse background in IT training, project management, tech support and application analysis. He’s a University of California Long Beach graduate, but now calls the East Coast (and Alexandria, VA) home.
Although at the time of our interview, we had been unable to meet Mo in person, it quickly became apparent that – in Mo’s words – “he wasn’t the average bear.” At C3, we think that’s an asset and it just means he’ll fit right in.
What do you like best about your job? I really like the C3 atmosphere…it was apparent very quickly that everyone works together as a team.
What does your perfect day look like? My favorite thing to do is to spend time with my children…and its definitely even better when we can do an activity outside. Neither my kids or I like to be cooped up indoors for too long!
What has been your biggest accomplishment so far? I’m really amazed by the feeling of unconditional love from my kids. I don’t think you get that anyplace else. And yes, I know they’re still young…I’ve heard it won’t always feel like that all the time!
What’s your guilty pleasure? I get completely sucked into buying new tools and technical gadgets. Do I need them? That’s debatable…and probably the source of the “guilty” in “guilty pleasure!”
What’s your philosophy toward work? Its simple, really. I think pretty much any mistake can be fixed; the trick is to learn from it and do better.
What are you good at? I like working with my hands – I’m good at using tools, and messing around with gadgets, especially technical gadgets.
What do you hate to do? Honestly, I don’t spend too much time lamenting anything I don’t want to do. My philosophy is, if it needs to be done, do it.
What’s your fondest memory from childhood? I was an Army Brat, so for me, my memories of living in Germany and Washington State were some really great ones.
Speed Round Time! Name your favorite:
Band/Musician – Ha! There’s too many to list. Its easier to tell you the type of music, and that’s pretty diverse: I like Country, Rock/Alternative (including hard rock), Punk, etc. See? Told you it’s a lot.
TV show – Most recently, Two and a Half Men.
Book – Cookbooks, and I especially like reading the old recipes.
Welcome Mo! We’re glad to have (another) un-average bear as part of the C3 Family!
